I have a particular passion for working with men and men's issues, especially in regards to connection and intimacy in relationships. I'm trained in working with adults, couples, and children, offering body-based services in the LGBT community for the past 20 years, and have experience working with diverse populations and sexual orientations.
Grounded in both Eastern and Western approaches in psychotherapy, my therapeutic work is based on mindfulness, bringing attention to what is happening in the present moment, and emotional safety. I use Gestalt techniques and the Hakomi style of body inquiry to help you effectively move into and through emotional challenges slowly, with compassion and care. My therapeutic style is warm and accepting, to guide you to a deeper understanding of your life and relationships. My speaking style is direct, using humor and an open heart to support your process at a pace that is right for you. I pay close attention how your body participates in your emotions and memories.
I accept a sliding scale based on your income and employment status, cash or check.
